Specialized Store SpainThe Specialized Spain stores exist thanks to Mike, he created this great company in 1974, at that time he was a young bicycle enthusiast just out of the state of San Jose in search of happiness, he undertook a bicycle trip through Europe. To finance the trip, he sold his only valuable possession, his Volkswagen van. Mike drove his bike through southern and northern Europe, where he saw the high level of bicycles and components that were available in all bike stores. As a cyclist he wanted the best products, but he had trouble finding them in the United States. While staying at a youth hostel in Italy, Mike met a woman with contacts with the prestigious components manufacturer Cino Cinelli. The entrepreneur inside him sensed an opportunity. After convincing his new friend to arrange a meeting with Mr.
Cinelli, Mike spent the last of his meager budget on an Italian suit. He met with Mr. Cinelli and convinced a gift of Italian cycling that a young Californian was the one to export his products to the United States.Once back in the United States, the challenge was the storage and distribution of the product. Mike cycled to the stores and delivered the bicycle components from a trailer made by himself and the one he was pulling with his bicycle.
Considering he was broke after his first order, he asked stores to pay in advance for their next shipment, something out of the ordinary in the bicycle industry. Without the confidence and a good relationship with these stores that bought him in advance, Specialized would never have existed. In 1981 Mike saw a mountain bike when Tom Ritchey was building it in his father's garage and instantly saw it as the future of mountain biking. After hiring Tim Neenan to develop a modified version of Ritchey's bicycle, Mike introduced the new Stumpjumper. The interest that was created around the new Stumpjumper was incredible, it was evident that it was not just a new bicycle, but a lifestyle. The new Stumpjumper was a great success. In more than three decades, no other bicycle brand has demonstrated its commitment to professional competitions like Specialized.Mike was always passionate about racing and created the first professional mountain biking team in 1981.
In more than three decades, no other bicycle brand has demonstrated his commitment to professional competitions like Specialized. Victories in the Tour de France, World Championships on the road and in the mountains, victories in the big classics such as the Paris - Roubaix, the Milan - San Remo and many more. After more than forty years since the first deliveries Mike made with his bike, Specialized has grown, diversified, developing its own brand of components and bicycles but maintains its three fundamental principles, which are the passion to ride a bicycle, Entrepreneurship and a good relationship and support with Specialized cycling stores, these values still remain the heart of our company. It's what Specialized does to us.The future has already arrived with electric bicycles, the revolution that is completely changing the world of two wheels has already been completed: ebikes or electric bicycles have conquered not only the market but our steeper trails and our more demanding trails, just like our streets and towns. If it were not for the faint glow of the green LEDs blinking in the frame, few would realize that you are riding an eMTB, and you would not even realize you were on an electric bike. The Specialized MTB Electric models are two, the Turbo Levo and Turbo Kenevo. The Turbo Vado and Turbo electric bikes As, more adapted to the urban environment offer several virtues, and are not only a resource for when we get older, far from it.
The great popularity of e-bikes in Germany and the Netherlands is spreading to the rest of the continent and it is becoming a very popular alternative to traditional bicycles, since it is much easier to move around the city, in a friendly environment with the environment. And in the mountains, the e-bikes offer a new range of possibilities to explore nature and reach those places that previously seemed unattainable.
It's basically like going with the wind in favor all the time!In the Specialized catalog you can find all kinds of bicycles, a great variety of models with which you can discover and live new experiences, we do not forget anyone from the youngest ones who can take their first pedals with our Hotrock or Riprock, in the MTB versions of initiation we have the or Rockhopper and the most professional like the, Demo 8, Fuse or the new.Road bikes provide a sense of speed, safety and comfort. Pleasure on two wheels, that's what Specialized road bikes will provide you. Sensations never imagined on road bikes, a perfect symbiosis between body and machine that will make you enjoy cycling like never before. Our road bikes are authentic engineering works, fruit of many years of research and work in laboratories and in the wind tunnel to perfect aerodynamically perfect bikes.
